This garden patio in Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees was a little bit different.
Chris commissioned Green Onion Landscaping to design and create a new garden patio in Yarm, Stockton at the rear of his house. He wanted the newly landscaped garden to be a surprise for his wife’s birthday. This meant designing and creating a garden landscape that would include: A patio, retaining walls, raised beds, and steps whilst his wife was away on business. We called this The Raj Green Dragonfly project.
Green Onion Landscaping had just over a week to complete the entire landscaping project! This meant lots of early starts for the team and late finishes, working to a very tight schedule. No problem.
Chris said his wife had always longed for her garden to be landscaped. She was after something a little bit different in her garden. Chris explained how Jane loved butterflies and dragonflies. She has always wanted a circular garden patio feature that would stand out in her garden landscape.
Green Onion Landscaping suggested Raj Green Sandstone paving for the garden patio area, this particular sandstone has nicely understated green, grey and taupe brown colours in it. We also suggested a stunning round Dragonfly patio centerpiece as a focal point in the surrounding patio flags. Green Onion Landscaping felt sure that Chris’s wife would love this element of the hard landscape design. Chris agreed. A large, colourful, graceful Raj Green Dragonfly in the middle of the patio area would be ideal for his wife, so that’s what we did!
On either side of the patio, Green Onion Landscaping constructed two sweeping, raised brick built flower beds with brick retaining walls, between these the Green Onion team constructed a step to give access to the newly turfed lawn area which was on a higher level of the garden. The garden steps were topped off with Raj Green sandstone paving.
Green Onion Landscaping managed to complete the landscaping in Yarm before Chris’s wife, Jane returned home from her business trip. Jane was very surprised and delighted with her newly landscaped garden.
