Our wreaths are made on wired & moss wreath bases
How to care for your Christmas Wreath:
Our Standard Christmas wreaths are made using fresh evergreen stems on a wired and mossed wreath base, this base must be kept moist. When your evergreen Christmas wreath first arrives give it some water while it’s laid flat, (pop it in a bath of cold water) the cut stems will have a good initial drink when you do this. Once your door wreath is displayed, spritz your wreath (especially if it or the moss looks dry) with water every few days to keep the leaves and stems looking fresh. Given the correct care, your Christmas wreath can last for up to 5- 6 weeks.
How long will a wired mossed Christmas wreath last?Answer: 5-6 weeks. The moss must be kept moist to ensure the foliage stays fresh. Your wreath should last until the new year, if you keep it moist. As your wreath dries, the moss may shrink a bit, leaving stems loose and liable to fall out. Strong winds can dislodge stems too. Regular watering should reduce this but if any pieces feel loose, gently pull these out then re-cut about 5mm off the base of the stem at a 45-degree angle with sharp secateurs and gently push the stem back in.
Don’t let your Christmas wreath weather a storm: Although our wreaths are made to be used outside, even the toughest structured design is unlikely to with stand storms or heavy rain without getting damaged. If bad weather is forecast please bring your Christmas wreath indoors until the weather calms down. Don’t let snow sit on the flowers of your wreath, it will rot them and the flowers will perish.
Do we deliver our Christmas wreaths? Yes, we can deliver to you if you live in Teesside. The cost to deliver your wreath in Teesside areas begins at £6 to one Teesside address. You can also collect your wreath from us on a prearranged day and time. We are based in Stockton on Tees, County Durham.
